First Snow

Munich muted by a winter wonderland snowscape
Silenced by a soft snow hug
Children's laughter echos
Whilst wrapped up all snug
Branches heavy with fresh fall
Evergreens no longer small
Bow towards each other for warmth
There lies English Garden transformed

Somewhere beyond the shadows
Within flowing river depths bestow
A new dawn that awaits
At the historical gate
A hope that acknowledges tragedy
And does not hide from what he sees
He shies not away from tragic forces
Or wild, untamed white horses
He is ready to accept the life/death cycles
Instead of running for false lulls
That are always only temporary
No, now he is ready to be free
From the shackles of disharmony
And accept what he is not
The other, giving what he thought he had forgot
A light inside, too deep he thought he must hide
Slowly melted and returning like the tide
Diversity and disparity reside
Forever by his bedside
